Blue skies. Fluffy white clouds. A gentle breeze blowing through my hair. It was the perfect summer day for my first session back from maternity leave. If you follow me on social media, you've been able to catch a few photos of my little guy, Hudson, who is now two months old! (Don't follow me yet? Find me on Facebook and Instagram to keep in touch!) In fact, I wrote all about it on my personal blog if you want a peek into our crazy lives since our little cutie joined our lives. Needless to say, I was SO thankful to be able to get back into the swing of things- and to get out of our crazy house on such a beautiful night.
The Kinard Family met me at the gorgeous old mill in their neighborhood and we had such a great time playing and hanging out. The boys were a little shy at first, but opened up by the end of our session and were my best buds. They loved watching the airplanes that flew by and waving to them. The boys were so sweet to each other and it was so precious to watch them interact. Towards the end of the session, the boys found a lightning bug and had fun watching it crawl all over their daddy's hands. You can't get more "summer" than catching lightning bugs, am I right??
We ended the session on the family's front porch steps. The Kinards had just moved into their dream home and wanted to make sure they got a family photograph in front of it to document this special time in their lives. I'm so happy for them to be able to spend their family time in such a beautiful house and great neighborhood. They will have so many more beautiful sunset-filled summer nights to come.
So glad to be back in action! Thanks to the Kinards for such a wonderful evening!
